ZebraStream

ZebraStream - Transboundary Data Streaming

ZebraStream is a near real-time HTTP data relay for building reliable data links across systems and organizations.

What for?

Constructing automated processes to send and receive data between IT systems is a challenge, in particular if these systems are in the hands of different people, running on different tech stacks and controlled by different company policies. The most basic task is to jointly implement a suitable transport mechanism for the data: selecting the transport protocol and installing corresponding IT infrastructure components, which then need to be implemented by the data producer and data consumer.

ZebraStream strives to provide a KISS solution to the transport problem using the following strategy:

  1. Adapt the most widely used and battle-proven protocol on the web, HTTP(S), in order to guarantee that really everybody can implement and integrate ZebraStream with minimal effort.
  2. Provide all IT infrastructure components needed to operate a data link as a managed SaaS software solution. By removing the infrastructure part from the equation, we can decrease onboarding time and complexity considerably.
  3. Be a real-time data interface, not a file hoster. Following the principle of data minimization, ZebraStream never takes over responsibility for processing or storing data. Instead, data is instantly handed over to the recipient and leaves the risk handling to the peers.

With these properties, ZebraStream can be used as a versatile tool in many different use cases. Check out the ZebraStrea product site to learn more about the different uses cases.
